Well it must be about time for a Go-Betweens post,
I have sat on this since February, actually I forgot about it.
DOH, anyway here it is. Craig who put out this fantastic
tribute has, in his own words

managed to tweak the GOB tribute I put out a few years ago..
I had a person request it and ended up just doing a complete
revamp on the whole track listing..
even tweaked the coverart (kinda)

Thanks Craig

Thanks so much - I've been trying to get a working copy of this for years. Better, in my humble opinion, than the more recent tribute, though all made with great intentions.

Cheers!

Robert.

Any info on the genesis of the album cover (subject? photographer? etc.?)

Oh actually, anyone else having problems with this download - the tracks being incomplete?

Sorry Robert, I better upload that again, somethings gone astray.

the artwork was done by a girl (I forget her name sorry), she did the artwork to a Billy Baxter LP a about a year before the GOB tribute. Meet her while Billy Baxter was working in Raoul Records in Acland Street in St-Kilda. I asked him anyone he knew, and by-chance (sic) she was in the record store at the time of my visit. She did the cover art and the photo shoot was done in St-Kilda Botanical Gardens. If you ever saw the Antenna music video of 'Come On Spring' then it's that same location.

The girl was a friend of the artist, she also appeared on the cover of an Earthmen record. Also for extra trivia, the dress she wore was the same one the artist (or herself I forget the exact details) wore to Go-Between shows back in the day... Hope that answers your questions.

Also, the re-mastering / re-sequencing of this was done on Cool Edit Pro, hard limited to give it some bite. Thanks for posting this and fixing the previous bad rip of this.

Cheers

THanks so much for all that extra info Cousin Creep, much appreciated.

It could just be at my end, but the re-uploaded copy seems to have the same problems?

Robert.

First off, thanx for sharing. Wow, I can't believe how much great Go-Betweens stuff I've found here. Secondly, when expanded the file using UnRarX, I only saw tracks 1-10, not all 21 songs.

Glad you found the gobs motherlode
I have here, I'm not sure what the problem is with the file,
has anyone else had the problem?

Hi Bob, thanks for writing back. Yesterday I used the RapidShare link (I think it was RapidShare) and I ended up with a folder containing tracks 1-9 and a track #10 that ended a few seconds too soon. I tried the MegaUpload link and the folder did contain all 21 songs. : )
