42nd. Street - Mistaken Identity

Ripped from a 4IP compilation album Thats Queensland
by Chuck, who holds this rare album in high esteem
because it has some songs of his favorite Bris band
Wickety Wak.
LOL, Thanks Chuck especialy for not ripping the whole lp

42nd Street somehow made it onto this album with their
song Mistaken Identity, 4IP were the AM kings of Brisbane
airways before the emergence of the FM austero stations
that now dominate, they were as lame as this record so its
a mystery to me how.

Thanks for uploading - have long been curious about this band. I'd be curious to also hear the track by Mick Hadley and The Shakers on that comp. The band featured Bruce Anthon, Jim Dickson of the Survivors (and currently Radio Birdman) and Mick Hadley of the Purple Hearts.

Nice one Bob! I agree that any lost Mick Hadley tracks would be good to hear.

Louis Tillett on Studio 22 chuck? I missed that damn it.

I have the misfortune to listen to 4KQ at this moment due to the lass I am working with playing it all day. Railroad Gin get a play every 2nd day. I also never want to hear Baker Street again as long as I live.

On Mick Hadley I was once a neighbour of a bloke called Terry Eaves who had played with Mick Hadley among others. He was also a member of a band called Leroy who played around Bris in the late 60's early 70's. He told me that they got the support for Slade and made the huge mistake of doing a Slade cover that the crowd was not particularly happy with lol.
