There's a few legendary concerts in Brisbane history and the
Stranglers gig in 1979 at the Queens hotel is one of them.
I was a little young to see that and have waited many years
to see this band play. I missed them when they returned in
2009 and I'm glad I didnt this time
And they didnt let me down it was a full on performance,
from the opening bars of 5 minutes, right to the very end
They played many classic tunes from their massive back
catalogue and to my delight the song inspired from their
first visit here " Nuclear Device"
So here's a few photos from the evening
and a video of Golden Brown from the night at the
end of the post
From the night!

looks as if they wore the same outfits as they did in Melbourne. :)
Absolutely brilliant performance, good review
Thank God Stranglers kept the flag flying for the class of '77. Saints? (only ONE of 'em)were downright embarrassing. Chris Bailey, you are a cynical old buffoon. Book yourself into a retirement home for grumpy ex-punks. No wonder Ed Kuepper doesn't want to be associated with this dross!
Couldn't agree more
